Welcome to Drumming Review

I founded Drumming Review in November of 2016 with a simple vision:

  • To become a trusted resource where people can come to learn about new drum products and information about being a drummer.
  • To provide the best, most reliable, understandable drumming advice.
  • To create and nurture a community of drummers willing to help each other be better players and feel more confident in any drumming situation.

My life as a drummer

I’m Nick, and I’ve been playing the drums for eighteen years. When I was nine years old I was lucky enough to win a drawing out of a hat to become one of two percussionists in the fifth grade.

Since day one of percussion and drums, I’ve been obsessed. I took music and private lessons all through-out high school and studied at University of Wisconsin at Whitewater for four years, learning drums and percussion.

After leaving school, I’ve been touring with my band, Vinyl Theatre.

In 2014, we signed to Atlantic Records and have toured with plenty of well-known acts such as twenty one pilots, smallpools, Misterwives, Grizfolk, The Mowgli’s, Dashboard Confessional, and countless others.

It’s been a journey and one hell of a learning experience.

I have written for Modern Drummer, hypebot, Music Think Tank, and our band has been featured in Billboard, altpress, QRO Magazine, and others.

Connect With Us?

I may have founded Drumming Review, but I can’t solely be the only contributor. We welcome drummers of all ages and perspectives to give insight, reviews, self-promotion (with humility) to help further the website.

If you have any questions or comments, or perhaps you’d like to write a guest post, please contact us here. We would love to feature your next article.

Oh and one side note; there are affiliate links on the website. If you happen to click on one and make a purchase, I get a small commission. This helps keep the site going with upkeep costs such as hosting, domain fees, and security protection.

Hey there fellow drummer, thanks for reading the post. I’ve got a private Facebook group called Drum Junkies. It’s made up of people just like you and me who are sharing pictures of their drum kits, talking about industry trends, and sharing tips about drumming. I’d love for you to join! Here’s a link to the group; we’ll see you on the inside.
