  1. Hello,
    There is a “legend” that in an interview Neil was asked, to the effect: “how does it feel to be the greatest drummer in the world?” Neil answered “ I wouldn’t know, you’d have to ask Karen Carpenter.”

    My questions, is this documented? If so, was he being coy, shy, or real. He had that much admiration for Karen’s skills?
    As a KC fan and learning about Neil, I’m of the belief he was answering in modesty and admiration.

    1. I’ve heard this before, as well. I did a little looking and can’t find any reputable source outside of YouTube comments and forums, so it’s possible this never happened. But I will say, that KC is also one of my favorites!

      You’re right, Neil was incredibly modest and humble.
